CAREER
P.Logeswary
@ Rhanee was born on 1st January 1958 at Malaysia to a working class Hindu family. Her hopes for higher education were dashed with the death of her father. After leaving
school, in 1979 she worked as a clerk but then she got married at the age of 21, to supplement the family income she set up
a small food stall. With time on her hands completed an MBA from Cambridge
International University.
In
1984 she began following her uncle on his refuse collection rounds, determined to learn about the business from scratch. She
was then an employee, tasked with collecting garbage house to house. After a year she got a small contract to cut a grass
in the university of Malaya.
She slowly and single-handedly built her business and mustered enough courage to bid for grass-cutting contacts. Encouraged
by her success, she felt ready to bid for a contract from Propel and landed a lucrative maintenance contract from propel. Soon, other contracts followed including a major construction project but business
rival eventually succeeded in shortening the list.
In
1955 she wanted to do something new so she started a restaurant called Shree Rhanees. She was forced to close both her ventures,
incurring huge losses along the way.
